Wired RS485 Gateway
‘Do you have cooling controllers or control cabinets and wish to manage them remotely, run basic commands and receive notifications?’ With the FaraConnect RS485 Gateway, you can make existing cooling controllers easily accessible via the FaraConnect online platform. This enables sending notifications, executing basic commands and recording temperatures.
The FaraConnect Wired Gateway offers the possibility to easily connect existing controllers to the platform. This way you are able to receive notifications, execute some basic commands and register the temperatures. Via multiple wired Modbus entries, you can connect multiple brands to the platform. Controllers of Dixell, Pego and Carel can be connected by one gateway.
Connect inverters and/or control cabinets of different brands via a Modbus RS485 connection
Via the RS485 Modbus connection, the gateway receives data from the controllers. By using multiple wired Modbus inputs, multiple brands can be logged on one gateway and existing cooling controllers can be retained (e.g. Dixell + Carel / Dixell + Danfoss* / …).
Data is made available from the FaraConnect RS485 Gateway via WiFi or Ethernet connection, on the FaraConnect online platform.
* Support for Danfoss is currently under development
The online platform allows
- Send out notifications when exceeding limit values.
- Consult and record real-time temperatures, so that HACCP-compliant, reports can be created.
- Status notifications, e.g. when the module would go offline.
- Overview of all your installations.
- Automatic reporting.
- Calibration of probes.
- Basic commands to send to the installation, depending on the type of controller/controller (e.g. on/off, change set point, activate defrosting, …).
When purchasing FaraConnect products, 2 years of connection to the platform is included for the end user.
